The second season of the anime adaptation of Masakuni Igarashi's manga series 'Tune In to the Midnight Heart' will debut in 2027, according to a recent announcement by NBC Universal. The season will feature a mostly returning staff, including director Masayuki Takahashi, scriptwriter Yukie Sugawara, character designer Tomoyuki Shitaya, and composer Kuniyuki Takahashi. The new cast includes Ami Koshimizu as Riina Yamabuki, Kaede Hondo as Mito Yamabuki, and more.
The first season of the anime premiered in January 2026, airing on Kansai TV and Fuji TV's 'Ka-Anival!!' programming block, as well as BS Asahi. Crunchyroll streamed the anime with an English dub, and Kodansha's K MANGA service published the manga digitally in English. Igarashi launched the manga in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine in September 2023, with the 14th compiled book volume set to ship on August 17. Kodansha USA Publishing released the eighth volume in July 2024.
The story follows Arisu Yamabuki, a high-schooler who searches for a radio host named Apollo, with whom he found solace in his childhood. He meets four girls in the school's broadcasting club, each with their own dreams of using their voices. The anime explores themes of friendship, self-discovery, and the power of voices.
